SSL failure, css images linking back to your non http site?

I have spent too many hours trying to find image on home page only to find you have custom css somewhere that links back to your site?

This is throwing SSL and I had replaced these images on my server and no changes.
why is there css calling back to your site? why is there hard coded images back to your site that are non https?

i checked database and it has it in there?

in fact i searched database and many instances of HARD CODED urls in there? 493 matches
