Hi All

Previous there was Child Theme but now it is not there

Query

1) So if any update come will it create broken since child Theme is deleted

Please suggest

Thanks for reaching to us.

If changes are inserted into parent theme, everything will lose. You can download and instal the child theme following our documentation https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/setup-child-theme/

Thanks for advice as instructed have install Child theme , but i had made some changes to Parent Theme before installing Child Theme

Now after installing Child theme that changes which i had done to Parent Theme are getting reflected

My Query

1) If update come then will this changes go away . ( What should i do )

If so, you should to copy these changes to child theme before switching to Child theme. But I highly recommend you to take a complete backup of your site before proceeding.

Or create a devsite – also called a Staging platform where you can test issues, enable/disable features/plugins thus such changes will affect the main site. The below article will help you to create it:
