Theme Elements Button Not Working in HTML Blocks

The button function under ‘Theme Elements’ isn’t working in HTML Blocks (but it’s working when added in Pages). When clicked, nothing happens even there is a URL linked to it.

In the settings of the button that is in the HTML block, you have enabled the “Smooth scroll” functionality, you should disable it and check the issue again.

oh i see, it’s working after disabling the smooth scroll function. but what’s the smooth scroll function for if it’s disrupting the button?

It’s like an anchor to the specific section, here is an example:
