    Hello,

I’m using Fancy Product Designer plugin an I have 2 problems regarding woocommerce variations.

    1) On product page, when I select another variation, another than the default one, sometimes the image product (which is actually a product initializing by the plugin mentioned above) is not changing. It shows that another atribute has been selected, but the product is not changing

    2) Also in product page, when I use variation products, the plugin has dynamic price (meaning that I can add text, images etc, all of them with different prices). But the price is not updating. It happens in the background but it can be seen only after the product is added to the cart.

Here you have a link to see these 2 issues: https://fantastici.ro/product/tricou-barbati-clasic/

Notice that I have tried another themes (free themes) and everything is working smoothly.

    Hello,
I have checked this product: https://fantastici.ro/product/tricou-barbati-clasic/ you had 20 USD for both variations.

I have set 25 USD for white http://prntscr.com/j2zt8t and I see that white one is shown for 25 USD http://prntscr.com/j2zy8t , when I add it to the cart I also see white for 25 http://prntscr.com/j2zvh2

Now I switch to the red one: http://prntscr.com/j2zu7q, as you can see, the image has been changed and price as well. I add red one into the cart and see red for 20 http://prntscr.com/j2zun8

I have checked that both on our theme and on the default. It is the same working. Maybe you have set price and images in the plugin, but you need to insert different price for variation inside the product in variation.

If you have any questions feel free to contact us.

    Best Regards

This is not the problem. I agree that the price changes but when you try to add an element using that plugin you see instead off product image, he price is not changing. It should be dynamic. For example if you click “Alege Elemente” you will see 3 object. Every object has a price, 20 lei. If you add one elementhe price should become 40 lei.

Now after you changed the price…one variation 20 and the other one 25…you will see that in this case, after you add one element the price will look like this: 20-45 lei…instead of 20-25…so it is dynamic now.

And regarding the switch of variations problem…usually the product image is changing. But if you switch several times you will see, sometimes, that the image is not changing. I will send you some screenshots in couple of hours to be more clear.

    Hello,

More likely this is the issue with the plugin not with our theme have you contacted the plugin support?

First of all, deactivate the plugin, and add images into variations, switch several times – do you have the issue when the plugin deactivated?

    Best Regards

I haven’t contacted their support team. But I have installed a free theme, I have tested and everything is perfect. You can test it. The theme is installed, just activate it.

Yes, you are right. It doesn’t work well with our theme. But the problem is that the plugin has its own variations handler that conflicts with our theme if our swatches are turned on. It seems that images are called twice and that is why don’t work correctly. You can make them work as expected just removing our attributes swatches and using standard WooCommerce variations dropdowns. Walk through all color attributes terms in Dashboard -> Products -> Attributes -> configure terms and leave this field empty https://gyazo.com/4fafc340c54225b455fe5399fb831b60

    Hi,

I understand that you can’t do nothing about color swatches but regarding the dynamic price? Can you do something about that?

Also thath free theme I’ve installed, if you activate it, you will see that if you start adding elements using Fancy Product Designer, the prices will change in real time. In your theme the customer sees it only after the product has been added to the cart.

As we can see, you have two variations for that product and both have the same price – 20.

Ok. Stop doing that. I’m not an idiot. I know both have the same price. I have explained you in the previous posts. It’s about using that plugin. Use the section “Alege elemente” and pick that ribbon tie do add. It has a custom price (20 lei). So if the product is 20 lei, after you add that ribbon tie it should be 40 lei. (20 lei+20 lei). There are also other rules regarding color amounts or amount of elements. If you want to see how this is becoming dynamic make the product simple (not variable) and you will see the price changing.

There are free themes capable of working perfect with this plugin. I unterstand if you are lazy and you don’t to do anything with the color swatch problem. But at least solve this error. I have already lost a lot of time with you. Which is the purpose of having a support team anyway?

OK, sorry for the misunderstanding. We thought you are talking about variations prices.

So we investigated the problem and noticed an error in the JS console from that plugin saying “No price element could be found in the document!”. https://gyazo.com/204532f9ffbdeb91c094c377071e61f3

We looked into the code and found that this error appears when the script can’t find the price HTML tag with the following selector https://gyazo.com/81d9f604c14fd563a0e0239c8027e69e

It is default price element tag and it exists in our theme as well since we didn’t modify default WooCommerce price template file and didn’t move it to some specific position https://gyazo.com/bbbfb2e0fcc94b7e662c4d08b25211f8

Taking into account all that information, we can’t say why this plugin doesn’t work with our theme. Maybe you can contact its developers and ask them to investigate the issue also since we don’t know its code base. If there are will be some extra requirements we will help you to implement them.

    Kind Regards
