gr8rckParticipantHello,
We’ve used several woodmart themes in projects and for some reason we’re having a very difficult time getting this last installation to behave properly.
Our main issues include very slow loading times between pages, mobile issues when loading categories (they don’t scroll every time on-load, you have to refresh the page to get them to scroll.
We have moved the site to multiple servers, contacted hosting companies and tried to troubleshoot ourselves. There has been little success. Hosting companies say its theme-related or plug-in conflict with theme.
We have gone through and turned off/on every plug-in to check and they do not seem to be the cause by themselves. Even caching plug-in like litespeed doesn’t work properly without breaking the theme or mobile.
We noticed the issue about 3 weeks ago and its just getting worse.
The goal is to solve the 2 issues above by finding the conflict or theme issue (if there is one)
Thanks,
Ryan.February 8, 2024 at 1:32 pm #538013
Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Please confirm the permission for plugins deactivation, and switch to the parent/default theme. As soon as we complete the testing we will enable all back, You would better make the full backup of your site.
Kind Regards

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
I apologize for the delay.
It seems that the password is incorrect: https://take.ms/kEoUb , could you please update it for the staging site?
Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards

gr8rckParticipantHello,
I just checked and that password works fine.
See below again.

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Seems that your server is not stable because on the default theme, we can see that the site loads around 4s and it’s not normal for the default theme. On the default theme, the page should load around 1s.
So you need to check what is wrong with the server because as you see it is not something caused by our theme.
Kind Regards

gr8rckParticipantHi,
The site has been loaded on 4 different servers, 2 at same place and 2 at another provider. Everyone of them has similar response times. There is something causing the delay at load time.
I have spent a week with different providers analyzing there servers. It is most definitely not that.
Ryan.

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Of course, plugins also affect the speed. I have enabled the default theme and left the plugins enabled and we can see such a result: https://take.ms/86ALP , it’s around 13s on the default theme with the plugins. So it is not something related to our theme, because on the default theme the same issues. And I mentioned above, without 3rd party plugins the default loads around 4s and it’s not normal in any way.
Kind Regards

gr8rckParticipantHow can the server response time be the same lag across multiple hosting providers? Can you clone the site and see if your response times are better to definitely rule out any issues?

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
I cannot tell you exactly, but the fact is that the speed issue in this case is not related to the theme. Such huge seconds results cannot be the theme’s issue. Checked again the default theme and now it’s more than 20s: https://monosnap.com/file/E1BZfX0Kt10nVbmTaRLODSrvns4JUh , it’s not stable seconds results, definitely servers and plugins issue.

gr8rckParticipantCan you tell why the category pages don’t scroll the first time the page loads on mobile? They only scroll after you refresh the page or perform an action.
Ex: H1 Hummer -> Electrical & Lighting -> Engine Electrical
It seems to happen randomly.
