We have a website that uses the woodmart theme. The theme is already customized, but we’d like to use customized php pages too. Therefor we’d like to install the child-theme.
If we install the child-theme, will our parent theme loose its theme settings?
The only problem may occur when you switch between themes in Appearance -> Themes is that widgets may lose their positions. It is a WordPress behavior and we are not able to fix this in our theme scope. Now, you need to go to Appearance -> Widgets and move all widgets to appropriate positions.
