Theme Updates Remove GA and Other Scripts Every Time I update

Hi guys,

Every time I’ve had to do a theme update, any tracking code or other scripts (i.e. the Zendesk Chat widget) are removed from the parent theme.

Can you recommend any way that I can prevent this from happening?

You would better use the child theme. https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/
