Thumbnails not changing when selecting a varation

Greetings!
I’ve noticed an issue that I’m not sure how long has been going on.
When selecting a variation on a product page, while the main image changes, the thumbnails do not. It was not like this in the past.

There are errors related to the theme in the console:

I have tried both the parent theme and child theme.

I’d appreciate your assistance with this issue.

Please deactivate all the plugins not related to the theme, switch the parent theme, and check the issue, If the problem has gone, activate the plugins one by one, checking the issue to detect which one causes the problem.

if the problem remains, even after the plugins are deactivated, please, provide your site admin access to the private area.

Make the full backup of your site and confirm the permit for us to deactivate the plugins not related to the theme and switch to the parent theme for the while of checking what may take up to 15 minutes.

Thank you as always for your prompt reply.

I disabled all the plugins on our staging website except for Classic Editor, Contact Form 7, WooCommerce, Woodmart Core, WPBakery Page Builder and the problem still persists, both with the parent and child theme.

I have provided the admin access details in the private content. Since this is a staging website you can feel free to enable/disable whatever you need.

I updated the theme on our staging website and it solved the issue! So, great news.

But, I noticed another small issue…
After adding a variation to the cart, the thumbnail in the cart doesn’t match the selected variation.

Hi Elise, do you mean that I need to add a main image to the variation, and not just to the image gallery underneath? If yes, I’m afraid it’s a bit too late for that from my end, as we already have hundreds and hundreds of variations with no main image. Is there any way to “transfer” the first image selected for the image gallery, to the main image, for all variations?

Unfortunately, it is not possible. You will have to add main image to each variation manually.
