Translation does not work

Hello, I just downloaded the language file in my language, installed Loco Translate etc. however the language in the store is still English. Is there a trick to persuade the theme to take the language file it should?

Please Go to Settings >> General and select the site language then check back.

AH, this only works if the “Formal” version of the language is not set on WordPress. Thanks, now it works.
