Translation lost after update

i just did the theme update and i lost all the translations.
How can I prevent the problem from happening again in the future?

Please restore the site from the backup, then save the translation correctly, here is a video tutorial that should help you translate your website texts with a Loco Translate plugin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3NsDdMzsls&list=PLMw6W4rAaOgKKv0oexGHzpWBg1imvrval&index=3

Then update the theme again, all the translations would remain.

I think I followed the saving procedure correctly, also because I have used Loco to translate other themes and a similar problem has never occurred.
