Hello,

To update the theme you need to download the latest version on ThemeForest -> Downloads. Then just re-upload new theme via Appearance -> Themes but install this plugin firstly https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/
Also, we suggest you make a backup of all your files before any update.

I have just tried to update but it asks if I want to do this and try again but never instals the updated theme?

Yes I made a backup

You need to increase the maximum size of the file download restriction.
Since your limit is 8 MB the size of the Basel theme is currently about 25 MB.
You need to contact hosting support and ask them to increase PHP limits for the maximum file size that can be uploaded.

Hi changed in php ini rebooted server but still wont upload

Can upload via ftp straight into the theme folder?

Yes, you can download the latest version from theme forest and replace theme files via FTP.

One last question…
Once I upload new basel theme files will it automatically work or do I need to run any other update on it?

After updating the files, you will have the latest version of our theme. Perhaps you will need to update the recommended plugins to the latest versions.
