Update error (PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10)

Hi
I’m trying to update Basel theme from 5.0.0 to 5.1.0 via Apperance/Themes.
It fails with error “PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature”.
I’ve tried also your hint (as found for WoodMart) to deactivate and activate my theme again, but update failed again after deactivation/activation.
Other updates works ok, including latest WordPress update.
I know that I can do it manually by FTP, but it is uncomfortable…

Try to do the following to update the theme:

1. Go to Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Theme License and deactivate the theme.

2. Go to Dashboard -> Updates and click on Check Again.

3. Activate the theme with your purchase code again.

4. Try to update the theme via Appearance -> Themes or via Dashboard -> Updates.

If it does not help, make the full backup of your site and update via FTP https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/update-theme-2/

If you need help, provide FTP access to the private area.

No, that was not an automatic response. However, when you face such a problem, the only solution are the steps I provided, they are common, so you could see the same message to other users, which had “PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature”.

You need to update once manually, after that you will be able to update automatically. If you have any problems or need help, make the full backup of your site and provide FTP details as well as your site admin access, we shall help to update.

Ok, done manually by ftp, successfully. I hope next time it works. By the way, you had still my ftp credentials in Private Content.
