Update version?

My WordPress.com based site is using version 6.5.4 installed, my theme updates page is suggesting I go to 7.0.4.

I’ve been regularly installing the patches as necessary, however should I move to 7.0.4? Is there a benefit to this and what is the implication? More precisely will I loose anything or have incompatibilities?

At the moment the site is stable and working well, don’t want to upset that and give myself work.
