upgrade from 2.4.1 to the latest

    Hello,
    i need your help with such an upgrade,
    i got a new client who has a website with version 2.4.1 – and it doesn’t work well. can’t update nothing …
    when i try to upgrade the theme – it doesn’t really work…
    do you have a tool that could help with that? special instructions?

    if needed, i have a tests site where this could be tested and fixed.

    It seems that the theme have a lot of customizations. Please make full backup of your site and read and follow these suggestions https://xtemos.com/docs/basel/faq-guides-2/4-x-5-0-migration-guide/

    Also, please export the Theme settings. You can do it in the Theme settings > Export/Import

    hello
    i did it, and also updated manually the VC.
    what i get now, is the base of the webpage, with shortcodes inside – which are not displayed as content but just as a shortcode.
    what could that be?

    Make sure you have installed, activated, updated all in Appearance > Install plugins. If the problem remains, please provide the site admin access to the private area.

    Hello,

    Restore the site from the backup. Deactivate all the plugins not related to the theme. Deactivate and delete Redux Frameworks and CMB2 as per this manual: https://xtemos.com/docs/basel/faq-guides-2/4-x-5-0-migration-guide/

    Then update the theme as per this manual https://xtemos.com/docs/basel/update-theme/

    hi
    tried it,
    it looks better now, but still didnt upgrade it as it should –
    header (including logo) isn’t the same,
    some other things were different in the original.

    i still cant do the checkout (not sure why)

    hope you could help me with that.

    As for the changes you will have to configure them again. I see no way. We have tried all.

    As for the checkout I suspect that the reason of SSL certificate configuration. Try to contact your host support on this issue.
