Upgrade to 5.1 from 3.3

Hello, I have tried to ftp update the theme, but when I click preview nothing works (I get an error page saying there has been a critical error).
Could you pls help out.

Another thing. After upgrading a lot of the styling is gone. Same with the footer?
Do you have any idea why and how it can be retrieved?
