    Hi,

I updated from Woodmart 3.8.1 to 4.1 the same way I usually do but many display errors make my site completely unusable for potential clients.

I have screenshoted the errors I found so far and put them in a folder I shared with you (see Private Content). Picture names indicate location, and also the issue when it is not self-explanatory. I’ll update this folder with potential other error pictures along the way in separate ‘Batch’ subfolders (the aim of posting now being that you can hopefully start checking the issue now without waiting that I spot 100% of them, as this may take time).

Could you please try to help me with this issue as soon as you can? It’s a major problem for me as clients can’t use the site.

    Notes :
    – used plugins, wordpress and woocommerce are all up to date
    – site access below on Private Content
    – I didn’t attach pictures here as it is limited to 4 and there will be many more

    Thank you in advance,

    Maps

    Hello,

Please, follow our migration guide carefully and most errors will be solved. Then, disable all external plugins and send us your admin access. We will check remaining issues. https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/faq-guides/3-x-4-0-migration-guide/

    Regards

    Hello Artem,

Thank you for your quick reply.

    – I had done all of this except save permalinks again. I did everything again and there is not change.

    – Your reply made me notice that there are several checkboxes that appeared in the CSS Generator in the latest woodmart version (I had just clicked “generate a new file” as always), many of which are unticked by default, including Cart page, Checkout page, account page, product labels, product page thumbnails, etc etc etc.

By all means, ticking them again corrected most issues. I don’t understand why this is not in your migration guide? Unticking cart and checkout pages by default? I’m very surprised. Anyway, the positive side is that most seems back to normal, I will check more thoroughly now for left errors and come back to you if need be.

    Best,

    Hello,

Actually, these elements are enabled by default. Most likely, you have disabled them before the update. We didn’t receive any reports from other customers about a similar problem.

    Kind Regards

    Hello Artem,

As I mentionned 90% of the elements I talked about didn’t exist prior to the update, although I understand that if no one else reported this, there might be some external factor involved (maybe a plugin, maybe not having migrated to wordpress 5.2, etc).
By the way I see that another CSS file generator, linked to WPBakery, appeared, where everything is unticked. I’m surprised it doesn’t affect my website as I use most of the functions that are listed, is it okay to leave all checkboxes unticked or should I tick some? Thank you

Only one issue is left among the pictures I sent yesterday: the privacy policy page has a blank space on the left and has different fonts, even in the backoffice, which is weird. I couldn’t solve this one by myself.

    See below for site access

    Thank you,

If you disabled all standard elements from WPBakery and don’t see any problems then you didn’t use these elements.

Could you please send us a link to your website where we can see this issue with privacy policy?

    Kind Regards

    – WPBakery : I do use the elements listed in the attached picture (orange arrow), which are disable. Again, “I” didn’t disable them, the WP Bakery CSS Generator appeared yesterday when I updated the theme and the plugins, and all options were disabled by default.

    – Site access : it’s in my previous message (see private content)

    1. By the way, have you clicked on “Generate” button to actually use the generator?

    2. It seems to be a problem with the text block. Some HTML tag is not closed or it contains some code that changes the whole page fonts.

    1. I wasn’t looking to use it, I was wondering if it was ok that everything was left blank, but this has actually been adressed here : https://xtemos.com/forums/topic/wpbakery-css-generator/ (it is suggested by your colleague to tick all boxes, but doesn’t it kill the interest of using this tool?)
    2. Yes that was it, thanks a lot.
    Kind regards,

If you didn’t generate it then it is not used yet even if all points are unticked.
