Using Child Theme With Already Developed Site
-
Hello,
Our old developer never created a child theme when first starting to build this site. We would like to put one in place now so we don’t lose any custom changes when the theme is updated.
What is the best way to create a child theme and activating it without losing any customizations and keeping the current theme and content as is?
If any other information is needed, please let me know.
Hello,
The theme folder you have uploaded has already child theme. Just upload it together with the parent theme and activate. Also, activate the license to have the possibility to update your theme automatically as it is the most save way not to lose customization.

Ahhh I see. I went through and tried to figure out how to do what was recommended, but could not figure it out. Could you provide further detailed instructions?
Hello,
1/ Install Parent theme https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/installation-process/
2/ Install child theme, activate.
