Variation images not showing up in product gallery

Hi,

I cannot get the correct images for the different variations to show up in the product gallery. Also, the thumbnails are not showing up. Please advise.

You need to add the images while adding variations inside the variation tab option as in the screenshot: https://jmp.sh/zzBjYdV

For the thumbnail you must have to set product featured image.

I added the images within the variation tab, but they are still not displaying correctly. See attached gif. When one variation is selected, we do not need any of the other variation images to show in the gallery.

For this reason, I cannot add images in the main product gallery because they show up regardless of the attribute color selected.

Is there a solution?

I got your point that the images from the other variations are also shown in the single product page while you have selected some specific swatch.

Could you please test this with some default theme like Twenty-nineteen So it will be clear that the issue is in the theme or not.

Because it seems the WooCommerce functionality is not working fine. So if the issue does not exist in other theme then just deactivate all the third party plugins and let us know. We will help you out.

I am still having the same issue in the Twenty Nineteen theme AND with all third party plugins deactivated. The wrong images are still showing up and no thumbnails 🙁 Please help!

As the issue is still there in default theme “Twenty Nineteen”. So it is clear that the issue is in the default WooCommerce functionality and not in our theme.

So this is out of our scope. You can contact to WooCommerce team as it is not working with default WordPress theme.
