jakubsamanekParticipantGood evening.
The performance of my website is very very bad rn. I am trying to understand why. When I clear all the cache, it takes a looot of time for the first load because of the fonts I guess… See the screenshots. Whenever i load one of the products, it takes a few seconds because of the that “document” type. From what i understand that is the whole HTML to render. Why is it taking that long and what can I do to speed this up, because these load times are not acceptable.
Thank you very much.

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
It seems the issue is in the 3rd party plugins, currently, I see that Jetpack Boost affects the speed as well and not optimized images – https://prnt.sc/Bna4g1rV2fXL
When the Jetpack boost is enabled – https://prnt.sc/Asc2LSae1jVL

jakubsamanekParticipantHi,
thank you for quick response. So what would be your suggestion to deal with this. The reason I installed Jetpack Boost was the performance issues and I hoped it might help. Could you please guide me a little what the best way of optimizing the images on the website is? Because I used the Jetpack plugin to see what images are wrong sized on the website and there are cases where the image loaded is up to 12x times bigger than needed:
What’s the best way of optimizing the images? Should they be optimized before uploaded can WordPress handle this. Also I don’t think that only the images cause problems. Do you have any other suggestions I can try to improve the performance? Google insights also says I have very excessive DOM size, a lot of main thread work and not really good server response time.
Thank you for any help, I really appreciate it.

jakubsamanekParticipantIf you try to open the page on phone or PC, doesn’t matter, and try to browse some of the products, the load time of the product detail is horrible. This is unacceptable for an eshop and we need to find the reason behind this. The problem is the document load time, which is around 2s for each product that isn’t cached yet. Cached products are really fast.

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
The speed of around 2s when the page is not cached is okay.
https://prnt.sc/eDT6RA_0PMP0 , https://prnt.sc/F-gOg8AVXye- , https://prnt.sc/mJ-MT71h1P80
When the 3rd party plugins are disabled the speed could be around 1s – https://prnt.sc/7LIhF-PuW34f so this is not something caused by our theme.
Kind Regards
