We integrate with an inventory software called Fishbowl and after updating the REST API is not connecting with their software. We determined it is not an issue with Woocommerce and updating the theme was the only thing we did prior to the issue occuring.

    Hello,

Could you please check how it works with some default WordPress themes like TwentyTwenty or WooCommerce Storefront to understand is it our theme issue or not?

    Regards

Yes, I just tested with a default theme and was able to connect to the RESt API. So it looks like it is theme related.

I’m sorry to pressure you, but this is causing issues within our company and is keeping us from fulfilling orders. Is there some assistance you can lend with this API issue?

    Hi,

Please, describe to us your problems in a bit more details. Attach some screenshots and provide us with a list of steps on how to reproduce them on your website. We need your admin and FTP access as well.

    Thank you in advance.

Hi, when we change to a default theme we are able to connect to our inventory software using the WooCommerce Rest API, however, when we are on the Woodmart theme we are unable to connect please see the attached screen shots for details.

What software should we install to be able to test this connection? Could you please send us some instructions so we can check this from our side?

Please download Fishbowl Manufacturing. I will need to get you a temporary license key from our account rep for the woocommerce plugin.

You may need to use this license key for your fishbowl demo account to make the Woocommerce Plugin work. Who gave the previous license key?

We don’t see the “Install” button for the WooCommerce integration https://gyazo.com/da443b51c2e538bccb49ee8941a0dfe4

    Hello,

We have checked this and confirm that it can’t connect when our theme is active. It is hard to troubleshoot the problem from the software side since there are no error messages explaining what is wrong.

We have installed a plugin called “Rest API log” to see which requests were made to the website. Then we tried to connect with our theme and with the default theme and found both requests from the software to your website with the Rest API log plugin. We have compared them and see that both requests are almost identical and were successful. So we can see anything wrong (any errors) in the log on the website. That is why the only way to find the reason for the problem is to contact software developers and ask them for some detailed error logs.

You can check both requests here
    Our theme – https://www.limeworks.us/wp-admin/tools.php?page=wp-rest-api-log-view-entry&id=36181
    Default theme – https://www.limeworks.us/wp-admin/tools.php?page=wp-rest-api-log-view-entry&id=36209

    Kind Regards

We have also noticed that despite the fact that the “Test connection” button doesn’t work, other API methods work well https://gyazo.com/be9559b68142f3fdee285a5ee0954269
