marcopoloParticipantHi Team,
I have woodmart running on sub-domain before it’s ready to be migrated to the main domain. The website was running fast however since today morning, the website has gone superslow, not loading properly and not creating first contentful paint at all.
I have not installed any additional plugin in the last couple of days and no code changes were made either.
I had turned on “lazy load” in the settings but not sure if this is what is causing the issue.
Pagespeed and GTmatrix shows incomplete page load (image attached). Unsure what is causing the issue.
Please help.
Uncached website load thumbnail:
The biggest problem I have noticed is that the home page is taking around 8mb transfer despite that each and every image on the page is compressed and are of small size, lazy load is on. The home page has already been stripped off too many content which was original present in the pre-built theme from woodmart.
It appears the homepage is going into loading loop, have captured a video screenshot to help you understand it:

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Could you please disable all plugins that are not related to our theme and provide us your admin access so we can check it?
Thank you in advance

marcopoloParticipantHi Artem, all the plugins except for core plugins have been disabled. Admin access is provided in the private note area.

Artem TemosKeymasterWe see that some optimizations are still turned on. Please, disable them all temporarily.

marcopoloParticipantHi Artem, I have disabled everything now, you have admin access though the account I shared, please disable anything you feel is left active by me. The site is test site hence no impact on the visitors.

Artem TemosKeymasterTry to disable base64 thumbnails generation for our lazy loading in Theme Settings -> Performance -> Lazy load and check how it works.

marcopoloParticipantI have disabled the base64, the GTmatrix is now showing Grade C, shall I activate plugins now? Anything else I should be working on?
March 24, 2022 at 1:59 pm #363737
Artem TemosKeymasterYes, it should be much better now.

marcopoloParticipantTurned on plugins, the grade has changed to “F” 🙁

The slider rev is causing paint delay, is there an option I could improve it’s performance any further?
March 25, 2022 at 7:20 am #363912
Artem TemosKeymasterAs we can see, the problem with the 8MB home page is solved. But you still have a lot to optimize. Slider revolution is very heavy and you will not get a high score with the Slider revolution on your home page. Other pages a much faster on your website.

marcopoloParticipantThank you very much Artem, I agree, the site is lot faster than when the problem was reported.
While this thread can now be marked resolved, I would be very happy if you could point me to the list what I can do to optimize the site further before marking this thread closed. I will follow them and do them one-by-one afterwards.
I really appreciate you and the whole woodmart team for guiding and providing the best in class assistance each and every time. This is top class service for me.

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
We have an article in our blog describing how we optimized one of our WoodMart demos and we hope it will help you https://xtemos.com/wordpress-performance-optimization-the-ultimate-guide-in-2021/
