pererandomParticipantHello everyone,
I’m using woodmart theme for my website, and while the site runs fairly smoothly, it’s a bit slower than I’d like. Currently, my Google PageSpeed Insights score is 27, which I believe could be improved.
I’ve attached a screenshot showing the specific areas Google suggests for improvement. If anyone has tips on optimizing this theme or knows of plugins and settings that could help boost performance, I’d be very grateful for your advice!
Thanks in advance!

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Our theme is optimized for speed and should not significantly slow down your website. However, it’s possible that your website’s performance is affected by the content you have added. For instance, the use of too many plugins, large unoptimized images, or other resources can slow down your website.
We recommend that you remove any unnecessary plugins and install a JS & CSS optimization plugin such as WP Rocket. Our guide on how to optimize your website using our themes can be found here: https://xtemos.com/wordpress-performance-optimization-the-ultimate-guide-in-2021/.
If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Kind regards

pererandomParticipantHello,
I just tried using WP Rocket, and it seems like my site has slowed down even though the performance scores on Google Speed Insights improved. I don’t understand what’s happening. Could you please check my dashboard and see what might be going wrong? Thank you!October 29, 2024 at 7:50 pm #608536

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
1. If you are not using Gutenberg, disable its styles – https://take.ms/R30yE
2. Set here https://take.ms/UMwdH the “Swap” value for both options.
3. Enable the “Mobile DOM optimization” option – https://take.ms/gk7vx7
4. Serve static assets with an efficient cache policy – You should cache immutable static assets for a long time, such as a year or longer, so you need to configure your server to return the Cache-Control HTTP response header:
For now, it’s adjusted for 30 days on your server. It should be 1year+ as in the example: https://developer.chrome.com/docs/lighthouse/performance/uses-long-cache-ttl/?utm_source=lighthouse&utm_medium=lr#how_to_cache_static_resources_using_http_caching
5. Serve images in next-gen formats – enable Imagify in the settings of the WP Rocket – https://take.ms/wbxyq
Kind Regards

pererandomParticipantHello,
I’ve tried your methods, and it has improved my site a bit, but it is still somewhat slow and sometimes very slow. Could you please check again? I’ll show you the screenshots. I optimized my images with Imagify in WebP format, but when I try to save them, they remain in JPG format. Is this normal?I also have a lot of issues coming from the Largest Contentful Paint; it seems like it might be coming from the carousel at the top, if I’m not mistaken. Do you have a solution?”
