Website Performance Improvement with WoodMart

I have noticed that, compared to the very beginning of my WoodMart installation, my website is now slower to load. It is still performing reasonably well, but I can see some slowdowns and reduced responsiveness.

Could you analyze my site and theme, and provide recommendations to improve its speed?

I have not yet implemented any specific optimizations (such as caching plugins, etc.).

Our theme is optimized for speed and should not significantly slow down your website. However, it’s possible that your website’s performance is affected by the content you have added. For instance, the use of too many plugins, large unoptimized images, or other resources can slow down your website.

I’m coming back to this topic a bit later, after taking some time to analyze my setup in more detail.

Concerning the images, I always make sure they are very lightweight and optimized (in JPG or WebP format). For example, this product page loads with fairly light visuals:

As for the plugins installed on the site, I currently only use what’s strictly necessary for the proper functioning of the site. I’m attaching a full list of active plugins for your review (available in the private content section for admins).

Based on your experience with the WoodMart theme, do you already see any potential issues or conflicts that could be impacting the site’s speed? Any elements I should consider removing, optimizing, or changing?

Also, I’ve seen that you recommend WP Rocket — is it a paid plugin? Would you consider it essential, or is there a solid free alternative to begin with?

2. Yep, the WP Rocket plugin is a paid plugin, but you can you another free alternative and adjust it similarly as described in our article.
