chuananzParticipantHi there, we would like to improve the speed of our site running on Woodmart and using the accessories demo. Our website speed is not performing as well as compared to the demo site.
We have read other comments and have checked out your post on improving the performance. (https://xtemos.com/wordpress-performance-optimization-the-ultimate-guide-in-2021/) So far we have not much results.
Also, we are using a reputable host (Kinsta) on a premium plan. So it shouldn’t be an issue. We have also worked with our host with server site optimisation like caching etc.
We have included our website URL below. Feel free to click around key pages, like cateogory pages, single product page etc. We hope you are able to assist us improving the site performance.

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
We tested your website but see that there are still a few things not well optimized. There are a lot of JS files that come with installed plugins so you need to check this first. Also, check all the images one by one to see that they have appropriate sizes.
Kind Regards

chuananzParticipantWe are using these same plugins with our current theme, and the pages load rather fast. Are you able to identify which plugins are causing the issue?
Image wise, should we use “full” or “Woocommerce Thumbnail – 600×600” images for product carousel and archive pages?
Thank you.

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
You need to use thumbnail size for the product images. Note that you need to specify the right size for the WooCommerce thumbnails in Appearance -> Customize -> WooCommerce -> Product images.
Could you please temporarily disable all external plugins that are not related to our theme and send us your admin access?
Kind Regards

chuananzParticipantHi there, we will check and get back to you regarding the plugins.
Regarding woocommerce image size, should we have a smaller dimensions? We have attached the current sizes.
Could we have the main image width as 600 and thumbnail width as 300? Will it help with performance?
If we decide to change to these new numbers, will they be applied to existing images?
Thank you for your kind assistance.

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
You need to set the size to match the width of your products in the grid. For example, if you have a 1200px website with 4 columns of products then their size is 1200/4=300px. In this case, if you load thumbnails with 600px as you have now they will be twice bigger than necessary. And in this case, you better set 300px for the thumbnails which will reduce your page weight.
Kind Regards
