chris.capizziParticipantCan you please help. I recently purchased the Woodmart theme and have it updated to the latest version.
I have made only minor changes by adding categories but it is running extremely slow.I have also only got the following plugins installed.
Contact Form 7
Elementor
Google Listings and Ads
MC4WP Mailchimp for WordPress
Safe SVG
Slider Revolution
Woocommerce
Woodmart Core
WP Super CacheMy hosting is with Dreamhost and they have done multiple checks for me and assured me it is not their servers responsible for the delay.
Surely it can’t be this slow off the shelf? Even in the WP dashboard it takes atleast 45 seconds to switch between pages….

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
In this case, is there any chance that you could give me access to the dashboard area so I can have a look at the settings on your website, please?
Also, please confirm the permission for plugins deactivation, and switching to the parent/default theme. As soon as we complete the testing we will enable all back.
Kind Regards

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
In general, it doesn’t matter which will be the first or the last name, etc. The main thing is full access to the admin dashboard.
Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards

chris.capizziParticipantThanks

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Seems that your server is not stable because on the default theme, we can see that site loads around 3s and It’s not normal for the default theme. On the default theme, the page should load around 1s.
So you need to check what is wrong with the server because as you see it is not something caused by our theme.
Kind Regards

chris.capizziParticipantHI Luke,
The hosting company seem to disagree..Please find below their comments.
Look forward to your help.
Chris.Upon checking here, I was able to confirm your site for
notinachainstore.co.nz is fully hosted in a shared server environment.
The server load times and connectivity reports show good number, however
I did find some optimization opportunities. I have performed a few test
and analysis on the site:
https://gtmetrix.com/1) Initially I found multiple images and media files in the site causing
over 1–5 seconds delay, due to resource usage, I found the site has
processes that are going over the 90 seconds mark therefore they are
reniced. Processes that use more than 90 seconds of total CPU time are
reniced (i.e., their priority is reduced) to allow other processes on the
system to take precedence. There is no aggregate limit on CPU usage, nor
are processes ever killed for CPU usage. For that, I would recommend you to optimize the processes to avoid them
taking over 90 seconds.2) Also, I have found the site requires content optimization, there are
multiple files that are too large and take too much time to be loaded, I
recommend using a plugin to reduce their size: Smush:
https://es.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-smushit/Using a caching plugin like wp-rocker or wp super cache might be a good
idea too (You have one, but it is not completely configured) Caching
creates static versions of your site, which means a lot less has to be
processed by the server when a customer visits your site. Please check this guide about how to optimize your WordPress site:
https://help.dreamhost.com/hc/en-us/articles/215300867-General-WordPress-optimization-techniques4) I did some digging and located multiple 5.0 seconds delay when the
site loads content coming from URL:
https://www.notinachainstore.co.nz/?wc-ajax=get_refreshed_fragmentsThis is caused by a known configuration issue from the WP plugin
“WooCommerce”, here is how to fix it:
https://www.webnots.com/fix-slow-page-loading-with-woocommerce-wc-ajaxget_refreshed_fragments5) I found the site has a large amount of outdated plugins and themes, I
would advise you to consider removing unused/deactivated plugins to avoid
unnecessary memory calls.August 8, 2023 at 10:23 am #487269
Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
In general, first of all, I suggest you do each step from our optimization article:
https://xtemos.com/wordpress-performance-optimization-the-ultimate-guide-in-2021/
Then let me know the result.
Kind Regards
