Weird thing with site layout – Prebuilt keeps asking to be Activated

Dear Support,

I’m working on a staging site and I imported the Digital pre-built site demo and it loaded properly the 1st time with all the Layouts and footer etc. I started working on it and the footer elements have disappeared (see image). I’ve disabled plugins, cleared cache, reloaded plugins one by one. Still doesn’t work.

1. Each time I remove all content and re-import the demo, I am asked to Activate it. It didn’t do that before. When I click Activate, it shows the demo activated but the page is empty and the Activate button comes back.

2. When I de-activate Elementor, the footer column 1 comes back (although not properly formatted)

3. The Layouts are empty and the Home Page is blank. (see images).

I fixed it. I realized in reading thru some comments that Elementor Flex Container had to be activated. It was, and then it wasn’t. Since it’s listed as “Experimental” who’s to say it won’t happen again?

Yes, this is the option. From August 2023 Elementor made “containers” enabled by default and since then in theme version 7.4 released in January 2024 we updated all of our import content (including layouts) replacing all rows\columns with containers. From now on, to use our layouts, you need to enable the container feature in Elementor

I spoke too soon. It’s fixed for the most part but the Layouts are empty and the footer doesn’t load properly. Initially when I installed it, there were several Layouts and Html Blocks. Those appear to be missing. I’m not sure why. I’ve added the private content for access.

For the footer. I have installed the classic widget plugin on your site and added the content in the footer widgets area in Appearance > WIdgets. Check back your site after completely clearing the browser cache and check the footer.

In some demos, custom layouts are included, while others lack them. In your demos, custom layouts are currently unavailable. Should you wish to utilize a custom layout, Please check this manual
