markusParticipantHi there,
Setting up fonts should be done in the very beginning of a project. I always did it with Elementor Custom Fonts
https://elementor.com/blog/custom-fonts/Now I see that WoodMart comes with a Custom Font feature as well.
https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/how-to-upload-custom-fonts/There is also an Elementor feature “Checking this box will disable Elementor’s Default Fonts, and make Elementor inherit the fonts from your theme.”
Could you help me and elaborate when to use which approach?
Why would I upload the custom fonts to WoodMart via WoodMart Theme settings?
Why would I not use WoodMart Theme settings but just upload the custom fonts via Elementor? Thanks in advance
Markus

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You can use either as per your needs. Please describe the purpose. By default, WoodMart fonts are used.

markusParticipantHi Elise,
Thanks for getting back to me. I used to work in customer support myself for many years, and would like to share my feedback.
Even though you can move forward faster with your tickets when replying very quickly, most of the time this means, the ticket will come back again as questions are not actually answered.I know some just throw in a question without any details, but others really make an effort before throwing in a question here. With experience in customer support one can easily distinguish those.
So it seems WoodMart offers its own settings when it comes to custom fonts. Usually, there is a reasoning behind this. And that’s what I try to figure out. And that’s something I can’t know if I use the theme for the first time, but you probably know as it’s your daily business.
Why would I upload the custom fonts to WoodMart via WoodMart Theme settings?
Why would I not use WoodMart Theme settings but just upload the custom fonts via Elementor? There must be some advantages or disadvantages doing it one way over the other (and I just can’t see it yet).
I know when I change custom fonts at a later stage in a project this could mess up the entire site and requires manual correction, hence I try to do it right from the very first time.
I hope you can share your knowledge about custom fonts in WoodMart vs. Elementor
best regards

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
If you compare the list of fonts provided by WoodMart and by Elementor, you will find that the list is almost the same.
You do not need to upload custom fonts if you do not need them.
Custom fonts are used if you want to use something unique, not the Google font list.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Best Regards
