wildguitarsParticipantHi, this is in continuation to the following top which was closed preemptively by Aizaz:
https://xtemos.com/forums/topic/widgets-are-removed-from-shop-page-widget-area-after-dynamic-widgets-update/The link I provided in reply #714110 was not a solution provided by the developer of the Dynamic Widgets plugin, rather it requires further assistance and research by the XTemos team. Please review the ticket in the link and let me know what I need to do.
Thanks,
TomMarch 27, 2026 at 1:28 pm #714317Hello,
We have reviewed your conversation with the support of the “Dynamic Widgets” plugin, but the situation is still unclear to us. In particular, we don’t fully understand which specific widget was tested and how long the observation period lasted.
First of all, we would like to remind you that when you switch the theme or the Woodmart Core plugin, our widgets are moved to the Inactive Widgets area. This is the default behavior of WordPress.
At the moment, we can see that all widgets on your website are in their correct places.
To better understand the issue, we kindly ask you to create a test website where you configure the following four widgets:
WooCommerce Brand Layered Nav
Filter Products by Attribute
Woodmart WooCommerce Layered Nav
Mailchimp Sign-Up FormThen please monitor this setup and note at what point (if any) a widget disappears. This will help determine whether the issue is related to the plugin or the theme.
Best Regards,

wildguitarsParticipantHi Aizaz, thanks again for your reply.
Your comment:
“First of all, we would like to remind you that when you switch the theme or the Woodmart Core plugin, our widgets are moved to the Inactive Widgets area. This is the default behavior of WordPress.”We have over 70 WOODMART WooCommerce Layered Nav widgets that are moved to the Inactive Widgets area whenever the theme is switched, usually as part of a troubleshooting session by our developer, you guys, a plugin developer, etc. Even if this only happens a few times a year, it is extremely time-consuming (and also very difficult) putting them back in their place every time.
Is there something that can be done?
Best regards,

Unfortunately, we cannot make changes to the WordPress core. However, you can significantly simplify this process by using the Widget Importer & Exporter plugin. It allows you to save your current widget configuration and quickly restore it after switching themes or making other changes.
Best Regards.

wildguitarsParticipantThis sounds like the perfect solution. So it will work for Woodmart widgets as well?
March 31, 2026 at 10:34 am #714649Hello,
Yes, the Widget Importer & Exporter plugin should work with widgets used in WoodMart, including the WoodMart WooCommerce Layered Nav widget.
Best Regards

wildguitarsParticipantThanks Aizaz, I was able to export and import the widgets successfully. This ticket can be closed.
