    I have the settings chosen in theme settings but the Widgets will not show up in the footer of the site at all. The sidebar will also not show up on any of my pages.

    Hello,

    Please deactivate all the plugins not related to the theme, check the issue and then activate one by one to detect which plugin causes the problem.

    I have added a calendar widget to all the widgets areas in Appearance > Widgets. They should contain at least one widget to be presented.
