WooCommerce Shop Setting breaks layout

When I nominate the shop homepage as the shop page in the Woo Commerce settings, the layout breaks. The shop homepage that we have is an adapted version of the sample content file “home mega electronics”

When you assign a custom homepage as the official Shop page in WooCommerce settings, WooCommerce overrides the page content with the default product archive layout, which causes the layout to break.
Do not assign your custom homepage as the WooCommerce Shop page in WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Shop page.
