sg5ParticipantHi Woodmart-Team,
We are looking for some specific setting of the woodmart shop:
1) We would like to set up one webshop which has two different product lines (bike and tools) – no multi instance shop.
2) Each of the product lines should have its own product categories and products visible (menu and search)
3) Each of the product lines should have different coloring (header and footer)
4) The terms and conditions pages etc. should always use the specific header and footer of the current product line
So technically something like this: https://tagmetalsracing.com/ but without installing two different woocomemerce-installations.
Do you think this is possible with woodmart alone or do we need some extra plugins?
Thank you

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You can divide the products into main categories: to set up one webshop which has two different product lines
Then you can create sub-categories for each line.
3) Each of the product lines should have different coloring (header and footer) you can create a separate header for each category in the Theme presets: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/theme-settings-presets/
You will create different attributes for two different lines and when you add attribute filter, you will choose categories where they should be shown to avoid showing attributes from one line in another line. https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/widgets/
There is no option to create a different footer. You would better disable it in the shop page and create a separate footer by means of HTML block: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/html-blocks-2/ add it to the category description: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/html-blocks-2/#cat_att_tag and then configure using the category description below the product grid: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/theme-settings-panel/#product_archive
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Best Regards

sg5ParticipantHi,
thank you for your description; we have tested it and have following questions and issues:
Add 2) Is it possible to also limit the search bar depending on the product line? We would like to show only products in the search bar for the product line?
>>You will create different attributes for two different lines and when you add attribute filter, you will choose categories where they should be shown to avoid showing attributes from one line in another line.
Does that mean we would need to create multiple attributes such as color or size for each of the product line? color-bike, color-tools, size-bike, size-tools?
Add 4) Is it possible to just have one terms and conditions page but have different header, or do we need to create two pages and place a HTML Block with the actual content?
Add 3) We have tried to set up a preset with the different header based on
3.1 categories
3.2 tags
however, it doesn’t work. The different header is just not showing on the product details page.
how should we set up the different product-line-header for the products? We thought we set it up via tags? Is that possible or can it be done over the product categories? In any case we have tried both settings and the preset is just not working 🙁
Could you please have a look into the demo installation to show us what we are doing wrong.
Thanks!

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Add 2) Is it possible to also limit the search bar depending on the product line? We would like to show only products in the search bar for the product line?
Search is the Woocommerce functionality and Woocoommerse searches the products from all the categories.
Does that mean we would need to create multiple attributes such as color or size for each of the product line? color-bike, color-tools, size-bike, size-tools?
If you both product lines use the same set of colors and sizes, you will need to create two attributes: color and size.
In case if your product line has different color sets, you create attribute color 1 and color 2 and assign the attribute item of color 1 to product line 1 and attribute item color 2 to product line 2
Add 4) Is it possible to just have one terms and conditions page
The Terms and condition is the only page for the whole site.
Add 3) We have tried to set up a preset with a different header based on
Please create the preset for the “Single post from the term” and choose the Product category. Make sure it is the product category, not the blog or project category.

sg5ParticipantHi,
thank you that worked! However, we are facing now the following issue:
The account page….do you have a good idea how can we set here also the different headers based on the product line?
November 30, 2021 at 1:12 pm #335799
Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You can set different headers using Theme Settings presets. You can find the manual on how to use it here: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/theme-settings-presets/
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

sg5ParticipantHi,
we have the presets already in use. However, I am talking about the accounts page. Usually this exists only once and we can only set one header – right? However, if we have two product lines with two different headers, the accounts page should also have different header depending on the product line.Attachments:

sg5ParticipantHi,
5) Furthermore, how can we filter and set only products on the widget for the specific product line? Currently all our product categories are shown.

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
As for the pages, each page has the settings to set any header including the Account page: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/options-for-pages/
As for the filters: have you tried that: https://gyazo.com/64e0a6a5ac260ebb7818cebbc6b6eb59 Taking into consideration that products of the sub-categories relate to the parent category as well, they may be shown in the sub-categories pages.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

sg5ParticipantHi Elise,
>>As for the pages, each page has the settings to set any header including the Account page: https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/options-for-pages/
As I have two different product lines with two different header and footer I will need to create two account pages in order to keep the header and footer consistent. However, when I click within one element in the accounts page – for instance, orders, then it always jumps to the default account page – which then has the wrong header and footer.

This is not in regards to the filter but to the category widget. The category widget shows always all categories and not the one for my product line.6) Are there any elementor widgets for the account, cart, compare etc. icons? We have a own checkout-page and would like to place the same icons there?
7) How can we change the background color and font color for the cart-sidebar?
8) How can we have a second mobile menu – for our second product line? Where can we override that setting, is it also possible in the woodmart settings?
Thanks!

Elise NoromitMemberHello,

Woocommerce does not provide such an option, you would better consider multisite
This is not in regards to the filter but to the category widget. The category widget shows always all categories and not the one for my product line.
Please make the full backup of your site and check the issue on the Storefront theme to detect if our theme causes the problem. Storefront is a free theme developed by WooСommerce.
6) Are there any elementor widgets for the account, cart, compare etc. icons? We have a own checkout-page and would like to place the same icons there?
I am afraid there is none.
7) How can we change the background color and font color for the cart-sidebar?
The theme settings allows to set the dark scheme of the site and the light scheme, if you need other colors you will require custom CSS.
8) How can we have a second mobile menu – for our second product line? Where can we override that setting, is it also possible in the woodmart settings?
I am afraid it is not possible. The mobile menu is set in WordPress and the theme does not influence that.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Best Regards
