WoodMart Performance Degradation

We are starting complainants from our customers (many of them) that the loading time for fetching a page takes abnormal long time 5-10 seconds. Are there some known issues you are aware of? I’ve been reading some posts on the internet but prefer to actually talking directly to the author insteed. My co-workers have been running some test and they also show some bad number. I’ve been following some guides for optimization

We have some new customers that want to open some e-shops but we are unsure due to the following issues.
We do do regular updates once a month, but still poor performance. Do you have any more suggestions for improving performance other the link in this thread?

Please, confirm the permission for plugins deactivation, and switching to the parent/default theme. As soon as we complete the testing we will enable it all back. Also, send the admin access via the private area.

unfortunately deactivate theme and plugins are not an option here. We have to much specialized code that would break the site. Both inside the childtheme, custom plugins and add an integration to the mix. Would it help if I gave access to the admin for the site? The site in question is http://www.netshirt.se
I takes almost 5-8 seconds to launch the start page! This is a concern for us when using this theme for future customers.

You can copy the site and move it to the staging platform so I can check the issue there.
The speed is affected by many factors such as plugins, not optimized website and server itself. So I need access to the website to make tests and in such a way we can investigate what is wrong there.
