I am looking to have my chosen categories on the shop page. I created this using woodmart layout builder, which i think is correct. However when i go to click on any of the categories, they don’t link to anywhere. Please can you help?

    Hello,

I checked your setup, and the issue is that the layout you created was not for archive pages—it was only showing child categories. That’s why your category links were not working.

I’ve created a new layout specifically for archive pages and added the Product Categories widget, so now your chosen categories will display correctly.

Also, on the shop page, categories are already showing. Go to:

Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog > Shop page display and choose Show products only. Try to check the new layout and customize it as per your requirements.

    Hello,
Thank you for your effort; unfortunately, it is not quite right

1 – On the shop page I just want specific CATEGORIES of my choosing to be shown on this page.

2 – When the user clicks on a specific category, it will go to the relevant page.

3 – The current layout of the categories does not work well on mobile devices as the user doesnt know they have to scroll to see other categories on mobile devices

    ok

I have had to play around with this page.

1 – The shop categories are now displayed in a grid format which i am happy with.
2 – However, when a customer clicks on a category the products from that category appear below. I am wanting the customer to go to a separate page. So for example, if a customer clicks on All Leather – they will then go to an “All Leather Page.’
3 – The customer will have to be able to navigate back via breadcrumbs or main navigation.

    can you help

    thank you

    Hello,

Currently, when you click on the All Leather category, it redirects to the default WooCommerce category page.
If you want to display a custom page/layout instead, you’ll need to assign your created layout to the All Leather category condition and edit it with WP Bakery.

Further, you can read more about the Layout Builder here: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/woodmart-woocommerce-layout-builder/

For the breadcrumbs, please go to: Theme Settings -> Product Archive -> Breadcrumbs on Shop Page and enable that option.

    Hello,

The reason your layout is not being applied is that it was created without assigning any conditions. To resolve this, please click on “Add New” and select the layout type “Product Archive.”

    – If you select “All Products Archive,” the layout will be applied globally to all archive pages, including the Shop page and all Category pages: https://postimg.cc/kRrFmJ9c

    – If you want the layout to be applied only on the Shop page, you will need to create a separate layout specifically for the Shop page and assign that condition accordingly:https://postimg.cc/47Hbq7Cy

Setting the correct condition ensures the layout is displayed exactly where you need it.

    Best Regards,
