Woodmart theme Updaye

We have a few queries regarding woodmart theme update:
1. We have renamed parent and child theme. Now, we would like to enable auto-update. Will this affect the changes we have made on the website? Is there an option to update the theme but without redoing the customization works?

Hello,

All the changes made in the parent theme should be saved so that you could restore them in the updated parent theme.

All the changes made in the child theme would remain the same after the update.
