    Dear,

I just noticed this XTEMOS SPACE on your website. I’m just curious to know a bit more about this Xtemos Space : https://space.xtemos.com/

Is this something new? or it existed before?
Is it the same teams behind the development of those themes?
Why not including Woodmart/Basel in the Xtemos price access?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Yes, it is a new project that includes 25 brand-new themes from us. It has no relation to our themes on ThemeForest (WoodMart and Basel).

    Kind Regards

    Why this approach?

I don’t understand the business or technical added-value to create 25 new themes (which some of them seem to have incredibly nice features!) instead of having 1/2 themes that contain absolutely ALL the features, and therefore WE can customize it 100%

I see great features in those themes that I wish to have on Woodmart. I wonder why you develop those features for other themes and not just add them into Woodmart? Isn’t it better to just focus on 1/2 themes maximum, making sure those themes are just the best with all the best features all included in 1 place ?

You would even be better-off yourselves, to not keep updating so many different themes that may have sometimes the same feature duplicated across them. Imagine you fix a bug in header builder and you have to re-copy the same fix in all the themes using this header builder… i just don’t understand it

    Thanks

    Hello,

We wanted to implement our new ideas and build new themes. It is not possible to develop everything in one theme only. As you can see from our 6.0, customers don’t like breaking changes like that. Despite the fact that we did everything to ensure that our update had minimal impact on the finished sites. We still working on our WoodMart theme and will add new features but there are a lot of limitations since we don’t want to introduce any breaking changes. Also, we want to have a separate place to sell our themes besides ThemeForest.

    Kind Regards

    Hi,

Indeed, but then this brings back to my comment here : https://xtemos.com/forums/topic/woodmart-6-0-update-beta-test/page/2/#post-277354

I see that you have done great work in this new v6 and I thank you so much. However I would suggest maybe reconsidering this idea of major releases. Why? Because it’s too much breaking, it’s breaking lots of things at once and people wouldn’t be necessarily ready to make such kind of big jump every release. That’s why WordPress and WooCommerce are now doing smaller releases, incremental changes over time (a bit in a Agile way) to avoid making too huge changes at once. Even for me who always keep everything up to date on my site, I’m a bit scared to make the update here because too many things need to be considered, adjusted, reviewed.

I think the process should be smoothed a bit because making such a huge release has a great goal but maybe it’s too much at once. You could have for instance make smaller releases :
    6.1 – CSS/JS refactoring
6.2 – Spliting files in smaller parts
    6.3 – Global presets
    6.4 – Fonts performance
… these are just examples and may be not the best

but anyway it’s just the idea that making smaller changes.
It’s easier to have smaller updates changes than 1 too huge breaking one.

Now about the 25 new themes, I hope this will not cause a major downside which I fear : you’d give more time for other themes are start being less focused on Woodmart’s improvement…

    Hello,

Actually, the breaking thing was our CSS refactor only. So it doesn’t matter if it contains all the other changes like presets, fonts optimizations, or others.

    Kind Regards
