Add to cart button is very slow!

We have made some changes in a way that add to cart works. When user add an item to the cart the cart, we will change the add to cart text to “added to cart”.

Now the problem is, once user clicks on add to cart it takes too long to change the text. Is it something because of the theme? Would appreciate if you can look into this.

Please roll back to the initial state and check how it works? Does it change slowly?
If it does not, check your customization as our support does not cover such kinds of customizations.

We can revert back the changes for now as it’s on the live site but we will try to test it that way after taking permission from the client. However, add to cart speed was slow before we did the customization and that was the reason we looked for customization but instead of improving the speed it made it worst.

Please, revert your changes and test the add to cart speed with the default WordPress theme. You need to identify if the problem is caused by WoodMart or not.
