Can’t Update Without Deactivating License?

Hi there,

I paid an agency to build my website and I need to update my woodmart theme. I reached out to the agency about updating the theme and they told me that I need to purchase the theme to be able to update it. I have done that, and now I don’t know what to do to update it.

I can see that there are instructions on how to update but it is VERY outdated and was created 6 years ago. I can’t risk messing up the website as it is 90% of my store’s revenue.

I try to update it but I keep getting: Update failed: Download failed. Unauthorized.

Can someone please give me a step by step to resolve this ASAP?

Hello,

Try to do the following to update the theme:

1. Go to Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Theme License and deactivate the theme.
2. Go to Dashboard -> Updates and click on Check Again.
3. Activate the theme with your purchase code again.
4. Go to Dashboard -> Updates and click on Check Again.
5. Try to update the theme via Appearance -> Themes or via Dashboard -> Updates.
