joaquindelgadotoledanoParticipantGood morning everyone. I’m editing my website with Woodmart. I’m having a problem with the category and subcategory structure. Everything works fine until I click on a subcategory, and then the link no longer takes me to the next subcategory within that one. I don’t know if there are too many links or if I’m doing something wrong. I’ve attached the URL of my WordPress dashboard. The link structure I have in that category is: Weddings > Wedding Guest Gifts > Experiences > And on that page, I have three experiences, for which I have to create three separate pages. Now, when I click on Wedding Guest Gifts, it doesn’t take me to Experiences, and I’ve had to create a specific page in WordPress with a redirect using the Redirection plugin. The problem is that the pages created with Elementor don’t maintain the same aesthetic or consistency with the rest of the theme. Is it possible to do what I want? Thank you all very much!

What you are trying to achieve is a nested subcategory navigation. By default, WooCommerce and WoodMart do not automatically redirect a parent subcategory to one of its child subcategories — clicking a category will always open that category’s archive page.
If you want the “Wedding Guest Gifts” link to go directly to “Experiences,” this requires a custom redirect, as you have already implemented. Unfortunately, there is no native option in WoodMart or WooCommerce to automatically traverse multiple subcategory levels in the menu.
You can create a multi-level menu in WordPress to show all subcategories in the dropdown, so users can navigate directly to the correct subcategory without creating extra redirect pages.
Hope this Helps!

joaquindelgadotoledanoParticipantHi Aizaz, thanks for the reply. Yes, I’m currently using a 301 redirect, because I kept going over the issue and it was the only solution to create a bridge page without products. I already implemented the multi-level menu with a dropdown in the category (subcategory), but the client didn’t think the page looked clean enough. So, since you mentioned that Woodmart and WooCommerce don’t have it natively, I’ll stick with the redirect, skipping the visible product category page. It would be a great feature to be able to mix or select a product category with a “normal WordPress” page. Cheers!

Thanks for the clarification. You’re right — WooCommerce/WoodMart don’t natively allow replacing a product category with a normal WordPress page.
If you ever want to avoid redirects, you can also design the category archive with WoodMart layouts to better match your site.
Here is the documentation about layout builder: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/woodmart-woocommerce-layout-builder/
