When you go to a product, there is always something already preselected. As an example, let’s take the product EasyFil ePLA. For this one, 1.75mm, black, 1000g is the preselected variant when you get to the product page. Only what happens when this variant is no longer in stock is that if you select another color variant, you keep the same picture. I made an example for you on the development website so you can see for yourself. https://development.kinsta.cloud/product/easyfil-epla/ As you can see when you enter the page and click on the different color, nothing happens to the product image.

How could we fix this? Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

If you want to change the variation images of products which will change according to different colors then you need to use the image at “Variations” and select as enabled.

Please make sure you have configured the swatches properly, following the instruction of the manual: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/variable-products-and-swatches/

    Best Regards.

    Hello,

Thank you for your response, apologies for the late follow-up from us on this subject.

The issue is that when you are on a product page there is always a default form value selected. We can naturally turn this off, but we would prefer to have a variant pre-selected. What happens is that when the preselected variant is out of stock nothing is selectable anymore on the product page. Instead, it would be ideal that the next variant in line would be the preselected variant in case the previous one is out of stock.

I know this sounds a bit complicated, please let me know if you need further clarification.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Hi,

Please enter the variation that is out of stock and disable it. Unfortunately, by default Woocommerce does not provide the option to disable a variation automatically.

It requires customizations and this is beyond our limitations and support policy.
