kineart.itParticipantGood morning.
I saw the possibility of adding an extra description on the categories page. However, I would like to be able to “break” the description above with a “continue reading”. I shared a file to show you my idea: it is a screenshot taken by Spectrum website.
Another question: is there a way to add an extra description after the footer on category pages?
I’m interested in the search engine reading it, not necessarily the users. I shared a link to a competitor in private content box.Thank you very much.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
You can create an HTML block and add it into the category Description. https://xtemos.com/docs/woodmart/html-blocks-2/#cat_att_tag
Follow this guide:
https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/read-more-button-for-text-or-section-row/You can change the Category description position from Theme Settings > Product Archive > Category description position.
Best Regards.

kineart.itParticipantThank you for your kind reply.
Is there a way to put the extra category description after the footer?
I sent you an example in private extra information (visible to moderators only).

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Sorry to say there is no option in theme settings to show this under the footer. It requires Customization and this is beyond our limitations and support policy scope.
Best Regards.

kineart.itParticipantThank you for your message.
Is there a way to change the button text on mouseover from “read more” to “read less” (in order to express the concept of expanding and contracting the hidden text)?

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Please use the Loco translate plugin on your site. After installing the plugin please Navigate to Loco >> Themes >> Woodmart >> Edit the translation which you are using for the site >> Click the Sync button >> Find the words and add the translation for them and save it.
Also, please Navigate to Loco >> Plugins >> Woocommerce >> Edit the translation which you are using for the site >> Click the Sync button >> Find the words and add the translation for them and save it.
Also, please Navigate to Loco >> Plugins >> Woodmart-Core >> Edit the translation which you are using for the site >> Click the Sync button >> Find the words and add the translation for them and save it.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/Note:
1. Custom (recommended)
2. This is Loco’s protected folder under “wp-content/languages/loco/” which is safe from automatic updates and provides priority over the above locations.
https://localise.biz/wordpress/plugin/manual/msginit?utm_medium=plugin&utm_campaign=wp&utm_source=admin&utm_content=plugin-msginit#order
If this folder doesn’t exist you may need to create it and ensure it has the correct permissions.

kineart.itParticipantI’m sorry, I probably didn’t explain myself well enough. When the textbox is contracted, there’s a “read more” (“leggi di più” in italian) button, and when the text is expanded and entirely visible, it still says “read more” . I would change “read more” in “read less” when the text is expanded to allow users to reduce it.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Sorry, but there is no option in Theme Settings available for that.
It requires customizations and this is beyond our limitations and support policy.

kineart.itParticipantI did it. Thank you very much.
Please check also html block number “[html_block id="34199"]“.
Yesterday it disappeared without any reasonable reason. I use it after “add to cart” button.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Your HTML Block is empty. Please try to add some content in this HTML Block then check the issue.
Best Regards.

kineart.itParticipantThank you for your answer.
However the html block is not empty, but I can’t see it in Elementor builder: that’s the problem!
It appears that the content is indeed present within the HTML Block. However, there seems to be an unexpected glitch where the content is not displaying as intended. Upon revisiting the Gutenberg editor, you will find that the text I have consistently used beneath the “add to cart” button in the e-commerce platform is still present.
It seems that the content of two blocks, including the HTML Block in question, has either disappeared or encountered a bug unexpectedly. Please verify the attached files.
Could you please advise on how we can troubleshoot and resolve this issue promptly?

kineart.itParticipantNo, definitely not. If it were as you say, I wouldn’t see any content in the WordPress editor. I have just updated theme, plugins and other stuff. It is very strange.
