Elise NoromitMemberCan you remove all from this domain and reinstall WordPress?
July 22, 2022 at 5:56 pm #392959

herbarioParticipantWere you able to find WP admin and recreate the fatal error?
July 22, 2022 at 6:28 pm #392970
Elise NoromitMemberWhen I go to the admin panel of the site I see the fatal error and it says something is wrong with the child theme.
July 22, 2022 at 6:30 pm #392971
herbarioParticipantThat’s right, as per my first post
July 22, 2022 at 6:33 pm #392973
herbarioParticipantWhat do you think is causing the line error in the child theme?
Edit: Or rather, why do you think WooCommerce is causing the line error in the child theme (when the Woocommerce plugin is enabled)?

Elise NoromitMemberI deactivated the plugins and I am in the admin panel. Give me a couple of minutes.
July 22, 2022 at 6:50 pm #392976
herbarioParticipantcool cool
July 22, 2022 at 6:51 pm #392977
herbarioParticipantSorry i should have offered to disable the WooCommerce plugin – my instructions may not have been clear enough and the Siteground tools take a bit of navigating to get used to/find things!
July 22, 2022 at 6:53 pm #392978
Elise NoromitMemberI have deleted the previous Basel version and activated the parent theme, now all the plugins are activated and I do not see any errors.
Most likely, the child theme caused the problem.
July 22, 2022 at 7:02 pm #392980
herbarioParticipantMakes sense. Will you re-install the child theme?
July 22, 2022 at 7:06 pm #392981
herbarioParticipantIt looks like the site has lost its theme customisations
July 22, 2022 at 7:21 pm #392982
Elise NoromitMemberI suspect that your customization in the functions.php of the child theme could cause the problem. I would suggest removing this customization.
You can create a testing site, clone and move your site there with clear child them (without any customization) then add snippet by snippet and check the site to detect what part of code cause the fatal error.
Yes, you will need to configure the theme from scratch.

herbarioParticipantUnfortunately i don’t know how to do that, which means the site will be without customisation until i can find someone to do what you’re suggesting.
Thanks for your time and for trying to figure out the issue. It’s much appreciated!
