I want to add a (polylang) language switcher into .right-column of <header>. The problem is that I have no idea how to put my tiny little php code pll_the_languages() into the header section when using child-theme.

Could you please provide a solution on how to solve this without hardcoding parent theme?
Maybe a widget area within .right-column could be a nice feature for Basel theme?!

    Thanks 🙂

    Hi,

You can add it next to the wishlist icon for example. To do this, find the function woodmart_header_block_wishlist in the file inc/template-tags.php, copy it to the functions.php file in the child theme and then modify it adding your PHP functions.

    Regards

Thanks. This is not 100% clean but better then hardcoding…
