how to make a purchase by hover over on the listing image

As I have seen on the demo site, when i hoverover image on products list, I can click the ‘select options. Then it shows the size option over the image and i can select the size and add to the directly to the cart.
However this process does not adapted to mine. How to make it work? when i click the select options, size options are under the image and then when i select then add to cart, it does not directly lead to the cart. it just shows the detailed product page.

Hello,

Please enable the quick shop option “Quick Shop” for variable products in the Theme Settings > Shop.

If you have enabled the option but it does not work, deactivate the plugins not related to the theme and provide your site admin access.
