How to reduce product image size

Please see my screenshot below, the settings reflect that the image size should be 600px but when I inspect the element it is bigger.

As you can see, that functionality is related to WooCommerce so could you please check how it works with some default WordPress themes like TwentyTwenty or WooCommerce Storefront to understand is it our theme issue or not?

In this case, I suggest you regenerate your images through the “Regenerate Thumbnails” plugin for cropping images (more detail in the below article).
