Instagram API photo size is too large ‘Photo size’ option has no effect on it

Hi, I can set it to from ‘thumbnail’ to ‘full’ or vice versa and all is the same, size, quality, etc. In other words this option has no affect.

The problem is that photos uploaded from Instagram account is very large in size, like 300 KB per photo. What is the other way to reduce the size of instagram API photos?

I have set another Photo size in the settings of the element and now the sizes are much smaller, here is a screenshot:
