We are noticing an issue when we try assigning an HTML Block to a menu item. When we add a new menu item, the ‘Custom fields [for theme]’ section does not appear (see attached image). However, this section does appear on menu items that were installed with the theme.
Do you have sub-menu items for the menu items which you choose the HTML block, if you have, delete them. Your menu should be all items one lever without sub-menu.
Please deactivate all the plugins not related to the theme and switch the parent theme, check the issue, if the problem remains, leave the plugins not activated and provide the site admin access to the private area
We are working on a brand new, never touched theme install. We deactivated all plugins and switched back to the parent theme and the the problem still persists. We have provided access in the Private Content area.
Yes, you are correct they are functioning as designed on the front end of the website. However in the dashboard, the settings that appear under “Custom fields [for theme]” in the menu item are not appearing for any newly created menu items.
