advancedasParticipantHello,
I have disabled all the plugins, deleted cache, but no matter what I do, the gallery loads ALL the images upon single product page visit. Actually it loads the gallery two times, one time at the start of a visit, then it also loads again downscaled images for example to 800x533px. Then when navigating woodmart gallery arrows to through the gallery, it AGAIN loads the images that were already loaded. A page that should have had 2mb in size now is 6mb in size.
Please help me with this, permission to turn off plugins/change theme granted. You can disable cloudflare through addons in WP rocket. Please re-enable the original plugins once you complete the troubleshooting process.
Please Artem if you can help me!

advancedasParticipantIdeally the lazy loading gallery should work like this: A user visits a website, the main image is preloaded, the fiew gallery thumbnails that are in the viewport are preloaded and the rest of the images only load when scrolling through the gallery one at a time.

advancedasParticipantOk, please let me know what they will find. I really interested to know what was causing this, as I couldn’t pinpoint a plugin, or caching issue. Seemed to me like a problem stems from a theme.

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
After checking your site, we can see that lazy loading is working. However, in the main gallery, lazy loading loads all the images at once because they are all on the screen, only hidden with CSS.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
Kind Regards

advancedasParticipantDear Luke,
Is it possible to make it so the main gallery would not load, why is it hidden via CSS? Is it basic Woodmart functionality? That is very performance wise unfriendly functionality, since the lazy loading basically is not functioning.
How to fix this? So only the visible gallery would load?

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
In general, the gallery in the default WooCommerce Storefront theme is built in the same way via CSS.
Try to use the Gallary that is built via Grid – https://take.ms/BD4ed

advancedasParticipantThank for your suggestion, but on mobile it would be difficult to use such a gallery, since on mobile you would need to scroll down far down to see a description over the gallery pictures. Is there a way to circumvent that?

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Sorry, but there is no way at the moment to circumvent that. Only by using a grid gallery.
You can leave a future request here – https://woodmart.canny.io/feature-requests so our developers can take it into account.
Kind Regards
