Hung PhamKeymasterHi Pila Stone,
Thanks for reaching to us.
+ In order to change / translate words. Please make sure you synced the strings first before changing / translating WooCommerce, WoodMart Core plugins and WoodMart theme. You can refer to article
https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/theme-translation/
https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/how-to-make-woodmart-multilingual-with-wpml/+ You are also need to select the language for the backend and theme settings for admin from the admin user profile, please edit the user’s profile and then select the language for that user it will show the same on the backend.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

Pila StoneParticipantHello,
Thank you very much. Now I have the problem that I have 3 language files in Loco but it is not translated in Woocommerce.
Now I have noticed that if the language file .po is deleted under SYSTEM, the translation takes place.
After some time (update of a plugin???) the deleted .po file is automatically recreated and then the translation is no longer there even though the translation is also entered in the .po under SYSTEM.
How can I prevent the .o file from being created under SYSTEM or how can I ensure that the translation then works?

Hung PhamKeymasterHi Pila Stone,
When you create translation files, you can select the destinations to save files. Can you please describe in more details for better understanding?

Pila StoneParticipantI specified “package directory” as the directory for the WooCommerce translation.
Then the translation works.
If there is an update of any plug-in, a new translation .po is automatically created in WooCommerce in Loco.
This new directory is saved under “system”.
As soon as this new .po has been created, the translation is no longer there.
The translation only works again when I delete the .po file in the system directory.November 3, 2024 at 7:27 pm #609563
Pila StoneParticipantHere are the steps I took:
1. Uploaded the woocommerce-de_DE.po file to Loco Plugins Plugins/WooCommerce (System) Path: languages/plugins/woocommerce-de_DE.po
2. SynchronizedResult:
No translation!!!3. Uploaded the woocommerce-de_DE.po file to Loco Plugins Plugins/WooCommerce (package directory) Path: plugins/woocommerce/i18n/languages/woocommerce-de_DE.po
4. SynchronizedNow I have the German language twice
Result:
No translation!!!5. Deleted the woocommerce-de_DE.po (System)
Result:
A translation is being performed!Problem:
After a while, a new woocommerce-de_DE.po (system)
is created
If this woocommerce-de_DE.po (system) is created, it is no longer translated.
I am not creating this woocommerce-de_DE.po (system)!!!
WooCommerce or Loco does this itself.November 4, 2024 at 4:39 pm #609789
Hung PhamKeymasterHi Pila Stone,
Can you please record a short video for better understanding to reproduce the issue on your site?
