Odd space between Portfolio Gallery rows

Hi,
the portfolio page on my site (to be honest is your original one..) give me a strange problem.
For any setting I try, I get always a blank space (like a margin) between grid rows.
I really can’t find how to solve it.
I attach here 2 screenshot. One is my site, the other one is your demo site.

I please also need to know hot to remove the social links/enlarge image from image grid in the portfolio grid.
