    Hi Artem,

Ok sorry, I switched because I was trying it on my side for hours and it was not working (with woodmart theme w/ elementor pro deactivated).

I’ll leave it now with woodmart parent theme + no elementor pro.

    I see a few sessions now https://gyazo.com/3a44ac40ff8abb97bca1944cbd619679
Note that I didn’t switch themes but I disabled our custom single product layout.

    Kind Regards

    Hi Artem,

I tested it and it seems to count now!

So you think the issue is your custom single product layout? If so what are the next steps?

Thank you for helping me find the issue!

    Hello,

Now you need to activate the custom layout that you created with our theme (not Elementor PRO) and test it for a few days. Let us know about the result.

    Kind Regards

    Hi Artem,

Ok I activated the product custom layout again, and left Elementor Pro deactivated. Will test again tomorrow.

    Hi Artem,

I tested this morning and the product views are still counting. I double checked to make sure the single product layout was published, but saw that it is in “draft” https://snipboard.io/8e4tk5.jpg. Then when I tried to publish, I get an error message that it failed “Publishing failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.” (as seen here).

Do you know what the issue is?

We don’t know why you got that error but we see that the layout is currently active. Please, keep the Elementor PRO disabled and test how it works.

    Kind Regards

    Hi Artem,

Ok I also see the layout error is gone. Elementor pro is still deactivated.
I have tested and see the product views are NOT being counted.

So looks like the layout is the issue.

Please see private content for more info.

    Hi Artem,

How can we move forward? My site is using your product layout template which does causes the bug that product views are not being shown in Google analytics.

    Hello,

It seems like this problem happens no matter which plugin or theme you use if you use a custom-built layout. Since it doesn’t work well with Elementor PRO also.

Could you please clarify if you are using some plugin to create such a connection with Google analytics? How exactly does it recognize that the visitor enters the product page?

    Kind Regards

    Hi Artem,

We tested and both saw that the issue is the single product layout being activated (as seen here)

So Elementor pro is not related to the issue. The tests we have been doing confirms that the issue is using your product layout template.

    My tests confirmed the following:
Elementor pro deactivated + single product layout deactivated = product sessions counted
Elementor pro deactivated + single product layout activated = product sessions NOT counted

This explains why when I switched my old theme to woodmart, the product session stopped being counted in GA. This is because I was not using your single product layout.

Could you please clarify if you are using some plugin to create such a connection with Google analytics? How exactly does it recognize that the visitor enters the product page?
    I am using:
    1. GTM4WP
    2. WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration<– who I have contacted first about this issue and they told me it’s related to woodmart theme

    Hello,

We didn’t mean that Elementor PRO is the cause of the problem. We wrote that it doesn’t work with a custom single product layout. That might be used either from our theme or from Elementor PRO.
It works ONLY with the default WooCommerce product page layout.

We recommend you contact this plugin developer again and ask what code should be presented on the single product page to make this work. Usually, Google recognizes products with Rich snippets. But we tested this on your website and your product page is recognized correctly. You can check this also here https://search.google.com/test/rich-results

    Kind Regards

    Hello,

The plugin developer got back to me. I asked about the code and he says:
“The best on this case, please refer to this documentation: https://woocommerce.com/document/google-analytics-integration/#testing-analytics/, as it will be good to to test the tracking and make sure it’s sending over the correct data to Google.” It could be a java script error.

    Please advise.

    Hello,

Sorry for the delay. We tested your product page both with layouts and without it according to the provided article. And here is the result:

    1. There are no JS errors

    2. Google tracking code testing tools show that the code is setup correctly https://gyazo.com/11c44bde79fe5b74a1f1f3983e100672

    3. We see the tracking code in the source code correctly https://gyazo.com/07783a8ca268225a308e385d77476caa

As you can see, we tested everything described in the documentation and don’t see any problem. That is why there should be something else required to make this tracking function work. Consult further with the plugin developer.

    Kind Regards
